Septum Piercing is a popular piercing with both men and women. The most important things to a successful Septum piercing are the placement of the piercing and the sizing of jewellery.
Septum piercing is usually placed through the skin in the middle of the nostril under the cartilage towards the top of the nose.
It is important to use only the highest quality body jewellery such as 316L Surgical Stainless Steel, 18ct Solid Gold or Titanium. Here at Totally Pierced we carry an extensive range of septum jewellery and specialise in custom-made body jewellery.
The healing time can vary from person to person depending on their health and whether or not they follow the aftercare instructions. The first 14 days are crucial in the healing process. During this period it is important not to touch the piercing unless cleaning (twice a day for the first 14 days with Hydrogen Peroxide 3%), no oral contact, and to be careful not to knock the piercing.
We advise not to change the jewellery for the first 8 to 12 weeks and to make sure that only the highest quality body jewellery is used at all times.
